Organised by The Manor’s onsite home care package provider, Vitality Care, residents were taken on a ride to Mosquito Bay and back on Monday, January 21.
Vitality Care’s Zowie Ratugolea said residents had a lovely time, with most of them encouraging the tour operator to not turn back and keep going.
“There were a few past bikers that surprised the staff, sharing stories of their bike-related escapades in the past, fostering connections and community spirit at The Manor,” Ms Ratugolea said.
“Participants were given the opportunity to have a family member or friend ride along with them, which Enid Morrison did, having her grandson Kaine ride with her.
“Grace Unitt was on hand to provide a lovely scarf to blow in the wind for all the ladies.
“The most adventurous rider of the day was Maureen Morgan who chose to ride pillion while staff member Ella Oakman took the opportunity to accompany her in the side car.
Tour operator Andrew said he had a ball taking the residents on the ride of a lifetime.
“I had an absolute ball meeting everybody and touring around such a beautiful part of the South Coast,” he said.
“Residents and staff were all so welcoming and lovely people.”
