In the under 13s, the Shoalhaven will be represented by Berry-Shoalhaven Heads’ Tom Fletcher, who is in the Country Thunder South East side, while Alec Dobson (Berry) and Lachlan Malcolm (Batemans Bay) will team up in the under 14s Country Thunder South East team.
The towns of Dubbo and Wellington will play host to the event next week – with two sides in each age division, representing the Sydney Sixers and Thunder franchises.
The two Thunder teams will represent South East and South West Country New South Wales, while the Sixers sides will have squads representing the Greater Hunter and Northern regions of the state.
The carnival will also encompass the inaugural under 13 girls State Challenge.
The boys’ carnival will finish on Thursday, while the Girls’ tournament takes place over Monday and Tuesday.
