There was another great roll up of 143 runners and walkers on Saturday to Batemans Bay Parkrun. The temperature was a bit on the warm side but everyone crossed the line in good condition.

Volunteers this week represented the Broulee Bay to Breakers Swim organising committee. This year’s swim is being held on Sunday, March 10. Thanks so much to them all for giving up a couple of hours on a Saturday morning to help with another successful parkrun.
The warm conditions didn’t hinder the following runners and walkers from achieving personal best times.
Congratulations to Rohan Montgomery, Aniek Compton, David Ross, Luxmi Selvakumaran, Gregory Thexton, Debbie Larkin, Naomi Blunden, Lynne Somerville, Dale Barnes and Wendy Black.
Aniek Compton also completed her 50th run and celebrated a personal best time.
The volunteer photographer this week was Tori Hennig and she captured some great shots of a lot of very happy people. You can check them out on the Batemans Bay parkrun Facebook page.
While it’s great to watch elite runners in action, it’s also fantastic to see that walker numbers are continuing to grow. People of all abilities are welcome to take part and help build fitness and social connections in the community.
Parkrun meets every Saturday at 7.50 am for the 8am race start. You can register online at www.parkrun.com.au to obtain a barcode which you must print and bring along with you every week to get a recorded result. The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout in Batemans Bay.
