Ian returned a score of 45 stableford points with Greg Booth, 40 points, filling second place.
Brad Doolan 38 points, Paul Pereira and Adam Husband who both scored 37 points were awarded the remaining vouchers.
Nearest the pins awards:
A grade golfer: Adam Husband closest with 4.30 m on the 4th hole.
Ian Lawson won the 6th with 88 centimetres and Lachlan Nordsvan was closest on the 7th with 6.15 m.
B grade golfer Ron Rogers was the best on the 4th hole with 2.21 m.
The 6th hole award went to Bruce Lidbury with 1.26 m.
C grade closest on the 4th hole was Chris Cox.
Herb Muriwai was best on the 6th with 3.00 m and Peter Ducan won the 7th with 5.31 m.
In the coming week the Tuross Head men’s club will host a par competition.
Thursday’s Medley stableford competition was won by Bruce Lidbury with a score of 40 points ahead of Brad Doolan 39, David Williams 39 and Wayne Fullerton who finished with 38 points.
Closest to the pin awards went to Mitchell Smith, Steve Swanbury and Brad Doolan.

Results for January 16
Sixty four players entered for today’s Special Par event, an event unique to Tuross Vets golf where results of better than par are scored as multiple plusses.
Winner on the day with what can only be described as a remarkable score of +7 was Kathy Crossling, including a hole out from 90 metres on the third hole for a par.
Runner up was Ian Wratten on +5 from Kevin Dukes and Rick Brake on +3.
Balls or chocolates went to Tony Crook and Lachlan Nordsvan on +3, John Cox, David Williams and Ken Brown on +2, and Ron and Sandra Hanlon, Paul Green, Steve Swanbury, Michael Kermode, Michael Nordsvan and Bruce Martin all on +1.
The Bradman award went to Annette Manton while nearest the pins were won by Bruce Martin on the 4th, Ian Manton nearly holing out on the 6th, and Jennifer Gary and Lachlan Nordsvan on the 7th.
David Williams won the Accuracy drive.

Thursday, January 10: The largest field for some years, some 182 players, teed off in warm conditions where the DSR emerged at 72/71.
In A Grade Kay Lawrence emerged victorious with 41 points off her handicap of 14, one better than Brendan Dart from Commonwealth. Peter Ward headed Club Captain Andrew Thompson on countback with 39 points to take third place.
In B Grade Roger Cheel also prevailed with 41 points off a handicap of 18, followed by six players on 37 points. Ian Harris and Tina Wilson took the minor positions , with Robert Coulson, Robert Russack, Scott Fraser from Albury Commercial and Jason Bohringer from Hurstville missing out.
Again 41 points was the winning score in C Grade, this time from Ian Lowe off his handicap of 24. Jim Jones took second place with 39 points and Jake Kerr from Queanbeyan took third place with 38 points on countback from Bec Smart.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Mark Elmasri on 3, Hal Fraser on 9, David Bennett on 14 and Grahame Cooke on 17, while the ball competition went down to 33 points with 19 on the way home.
Saturday, January 12: Again a large field of 170 players took to the course in very humid conditions after the previous evening’s rain where the DSR emerged at 72/73.
In A Grade Murray Walpole went round in one under par to register 40 points off his handicap of 3 and head Alan Butterworth from Tumbarumba by three points. Greg Riley took third place with 36 points on countback from Ken Brown of Moruya and Brett Thompson.
In B Grade Peter O’Kane posted clearly the best score of the day with 43 points off his handicap of 22 to head Ben Stevens from Bathurst by two points. Mark Hill from Lakes Entrance filled the third position with 38 points on countback from Joel Moore from Bushrangers. Sid Dean took out C Grade with 38 points off his handicap of 25 while Campbell Telford from Victoria edged out Bec Smart on countback with 36 points for second place.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Phil Haynes on 3, Shaun Martyn on 9, Scott Ker on 14 and Mitch Jeffery on 17, while the ball competition went down to 32 points withb 17 home.
Bermagui Social Golfers
Last Sunday we played at the Bermagui Golf Course. We all played our normal 9 hole stableford competition. Overall winner was Graeme Sthruthers and second was Mal LeComte on a 3 way count back from third Dave Webster and Jim Bryan. NTP winner was Roy Sthruthers.
After golf we all gathered at the local pub for our lunch, presentations, and raffles. Player Draw and hacker of the day was new player Warwick Hunt with badge draw going to Andy Whittaker. The Needs Butchery meat tray went to Charlie Bennett, the Triple 7 fruit and vegie tray and the two bottles of wine went to patrons enjoying lunch on the verandah and the tasty pizza voucher went to Bernie Geerdink.
