There are 7,000 tickets allocated for the game with 3000 on sale via the Raiders website, while the majority will be sold on the Far South Coast to provide locals priority access.
The NRL clash will be held at the Bega Recreation Ground on February 23 about 5pm, with a number of representative junior games to be held earlier.
Group 16 chairman Allan Wilton said he was delighted to see a number of local businesses get on board as outlets for the ticket sales with shops from Batemans Bay to Eden, Cooma, Bombala and Bemboka getting involved.
At a flat rate of $15 per person and under fours given free entry, Mr Wilton encouraged everyone to get in quick to ensure their seat at the game.
“The tickets are selling incredibly well, there are outlets in basically every town that is involved with Group 16 so we have a fantastic cross-section of places available to get your tickets,” Mr Wilton said.
“We’d love nothing more than to see local juniors at the ground getting to watch some of their NRL heroes play, it’s fantastic to see the Raiders back in the area supporting us.”
Both the Raiders and Bulldogs have already confirmed plans to visit the area prior to the match where they will host open training sessions and school visits.
Open training runs will be held at the Bega Recreation Ground and the Tathra Beach Country Club, providing an opportunity for everyone to meet some of the players.
Group 16 has effectively been restored as a feeder zone to the NRL club ahead of construction of the Raiders’ planned Centre of Excellence.
“We’re seeing a lot of interest around the game, so we’re most definitely thrilled with the response so far,” Mr Wilton said.
“We’re producing some excellent talent down here and it’s helping provide a direct pathway and opportunity for locals to advance through the Raiders.
“We have to establish pathways for our juniors and this is an ideal way of doing it.”
