A man facing a string of charges after he allegedly ran down a woman with a stolen car while fleeing the scene of a violent home invasion in Surf Beach, has had his matters mentioned in Batemans Bay Local Court this week.

Adam David Bohun, 29, was charged with 16 alleged offences after incidents in Catalina and Surf Beach on the afternoon of September 5, 2018.
The most serious of the charges include aggravated break and enter and assault causing actual bodily harm using an offensive weapon; aggravated stealing from a person; dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm and five counts of assault.
It is alleged he hit a woman with the car as he fled the scene, causing her grievous bodily harm.

Police said Bohun attended the home of a woman known to him in Catalina at about 5pm where he allegedly contravened an AVO, assaulted a woman, and stole her handbag, inflicting actual bodily harm.
Shortly after, police say he broke into a home in Surf Beach while armed with an offensive weapon, assaulted a man and a woman and stole a car. It is alleged he hit a woman with the car as he fled the scene, causing her grievous bodily harm.
Bohun was arrested a week later in Canberra after a warrant was issued. Court documents said Bohun had been in Canberra Hospital at the time receiving treatment for mental health issues.
Bohun did not appear when his matters were mentioned in Batemans Bay Local Court on January 7. He remains in custody.
Defence solicitor Travis McGeachy said he was not in a position to enter pleas for his client at this stage.
Bohun also faces fresh charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and contravening an AVO relating to an alleged incident in Batemans Bay in August last year.
Court documents said Bohun had a “lengthy history” of violence and suffered mental health issues, including bipolar disorder.
The matters will return to court on February 25, 2019.
