District Junior Singles Championship
The final of the District Junior Singles was played at Tomakin last Saturday. Nick Tiyce and Stuart Megee put on a brilliant performance with both bowlers putting on a masterclass of draw bowls.
It was nip and tuck throughout the match and the game went down to the wire with Nick Tiyce eventually winning 31 to 29.
Congratulations to both lads on a great contest.
Donation to Broulee Bush Fire Brigade
We invited representatives of the Broulee Bush Fire Brigade to join us on Monday. The Mens Bowling Club was pleased to present the brigade with a cheque for $1000. This donation was from funds raised during social bowls where bowlers are fined for delivering a wrong bias or other misdemeanours. A big thank you to all those bowlers who made voluntary contributions.
Nominated Pairs: Monday, January 7.
The green ran well under overcast skies for the 56 bowlers who attended bowls on Monday.

The jackpot draw went to the winning skip on rink 11. Ken Calder picked his own rink for the draw but could not pin down the joker.
