The Medal of Medals winner for 2018 was Tim Ganderton with score of 69 nett.
A Grade: 1st Tim Ganderton (Medal) with 69 nett; 2nd Greg Ganderton with 71 nett; Gross winner was Chris Galvin with 77
B Grade: 1st Luke Lawrence (Medal) with 67 nett; 2nd Roger Marshall with 68 nett; Gross winner was Laurie Buckle with 83
C Grade: 1st Les Holmes (Medal) with 67 nett; 2nd Barry Weeks with 70 nett; Gross winner was Stewart Bennett with 90
Golden Shot was won by Roo Foran.

Tuross Head Country Club
Tuross Head Country Club men’s golf conducted their monthly medal stroke competition this week.
This event is conducted over three divisions and Martin Booth was the A grade winner with 68 strikes ahead of Ken Brown and Allen Gannon who both finished with 70 strokes.
B grade golfer Paul Scholze was the leader in this group with a score of 70 strokes from Richard Kelly and Ron Rogers both scored 71.
C division produced some very low scoring.
Bruce Brawn had a remarkable round of 64 strokes ahead of Herb Muriwai and Allen Lee who handed in cards of 68.
Colin Houghton had the lowest off the stick round of 78 strokes.
Bruce Brawn won the 18 hole putting competition with a very good score of 21 putts.
The Golden Shot award for the closest second shot on the par 4 second hole was won by David Bray with 3.42 m.
The annual eclectic competition was finalised with the final December round this week and Jim Wade emerged as the winner with Martin Booth the runner up.
Nearest the pins:
A grade player Brad Doolan was closest on then 4th hole with 0.98 m.
Mitch McLean won the 6th with 2.12 m and Paul Ferguson was the best on the 7th hole with 11.00 m.
B grade division best was Ian Miller on the 4th hole with a very close 31 centimetres.
Ian Lawson had a good day winning the 6th with 1.77 m and also the 7th with 5.50 m.
Bruce Brawn won the 4th hole in C grade with 5.46 m and Peter Hogan was awarded the 7th hole with 6.60 m.
Thursday’s 18 hole medley stableford competition was won by Rex Wood with 39 points from Allen Gannon 38 and David Williams and Ian Miller both finished with 37 points.
Nearest the pins were won by Ron Rogers, Steve Johnston and Marty Booth.

Thursday, December 6
Another good field of 140 players encountered windy conditions with a resultant DSR of 71/72.
A Grade was taken out by Peter Ward with 40 points off his handicap of 11, followed by Bill Anderson on 39 points and Allan Maddison on 38 points.
Paul Davey off a handicap of 16 was a clear winner in B Grade with a score of 41 points, two points better than Kevin Mitchell who headed Robert Mettam on countback to fill the second placing.
C Grade saw the best score of the day when Jim Hoare scored 42 points off his handicap of 23 to relegate Kevin Evans from Ryde-Parramatta to second place on countback, while Peter Kape was also favoured by the countback to take third place ahead of Sid Dean.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Richard Bodell on 3, Alan Butterworth from Tumbarumba on 9, Brian Mills on 14 and Michael Wuttke-Hayes on 17, while the ball competition went down to 33 points with 18 on the way home.
Saturday, December 8
Another good field of 139 players enjoyed fine conditions with a resultant DSR of a consistent 71.
Bill Durnan took out A Grade with 40 points off his handicap of 6, followed by Robert Ackling on 39 points and Mitch Jeffery on 38 points who headed Tony Cobcroft and Tracey Mitchell on countback to take third place.
Ian Harris continued his recent good form to register the best score of the day with 44 points off his handicap of 21 to take out B Grade ahead of Tony Hunt on 40 points and Ken Adams on 39 points. A new junior member in Darcy Sealey won C Grade in his first competition game with 42 points off his handicap of 35 - perhaps the handicapper got it wrong! Mark Lonsdale took second place with 41 points and Blake Thornhill third place with 38 points.
The nearest-the-pin winners were Murray Walpole on 3, Peter Ward on 9, John Willett on 14 and Janice Eardley on 17, while the ball competition went down to 34 points with 20 on the way home.

Results for Thursday, December 6 - Stroke
We played American Foursomes Stroke today and the father and son team of Paul and Nathan Batten combined well together to trump the field with a win on the day scoring 68.75 net off their combined handicap of 5.25.
Shane Roberts and Michael Derbyshire were in the runner-up position with 70.38 off a combined handicap of 14.62. Third spot went to Wayne Burke and Bob Shearing on 70.75 off their combined handicap 14.25. In fourth place we had Dave Chamberlin and Bill Tyson with 71.75 off 11.25.
Results for Saturday, December 8 - Stableford
In a fine display Wayne Buick (hcp 3) stormed home for the top spot in A grade today with 41 points.
Runner-up was Derek Nash (hcp 14) on 35 points shading Nathan Batten with 34 points off scratch.
John Stichbury (hcp 21) won B grade with 38 points. Darren Redman (hcp 17) was next on 37 shading Bill Tyson (hcp 20) on 35 points.
The C grade win went to Brendan Matters (hcp 25) with 40 points shading Ian Reid (hcp 31) and Peter Buttrey (hcp 22) both on 38 points. An Eagle was landed on the par 5 second hole by John Mills.
