Christmas is a time to share great memories. My mum and dad would always go to bingo in the park at Moruya on Christmas Eve.
They would put down a blanket and tell us four girls to watch the sky for Santa and his reindeer and of course we would … all night!
As Winston Churchill said; “Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection.”
Members and friends of Art Central, are cordially invited to help celebrate the end of year with a party at Art Central, 24 Church Street, Moruya at 1pm on Tuesday 18th December! Come one come all, bring a plate to share, if you can. Art Central is a no-alcohol venue. Management and staff would love to see you there!
As with other street parties in the shire, the Newth Place Christmas party was well attended with lots of funny stories about the goings-on in the street during 2018 and past years. Stories seem to get better and better as the years go by!
'May you never be too grown up to search the skies on Christmas Eve'
Isn't it sad how we go to write our Christmas cards and there are lines drawn through old friends who have passed away?
My list is getting shorter and shorter but I still like to send the cards and I love to receive them.
Happy belated birthday to gorgeous Di Smith who celebrated this Wednesday past. Joe no doubt made you breakfast in bed?
Amanda Bell-Towers and Rebecca Kilborn were looking ready for summer in their string bikinis at Denhams Beach this week … OK well maybe they didn't have string bikinis but they looked great and were entertaining their children making sand castles and splashing in the very cold water!
Congratulations to Heidi Ward graduating as a Bachelor of Nursing with distinction on Friday the 7th.
Heidi's proud parents, Stella and Kevin are camping at North Heads, Moruya and were preparing a celebration BBQ for their clever daughter!
Don't forget to say thank you to the “service” people at Christmas time.
A small chocolate for the postie who does an excellent job and maybe lurk when the garbage truck is due with a cold ale … which they will drink at home!
Beautiful Jilly Burton, fresh from a trip to Morocco, will be celebrating her big day next Tuesday. I'll bet there is a feast being prepared by her wonderful live-in chef!
This Friday at 7pm at the most beautiful church on the South Coast, All Saints Bodalla, the Montague Choristers will be singing.
It will be a joy to experience in such surroundings, so I recommend it highly.
