Police said they received calls from members of the public just before 8pm on Saturday, December 8, reporting that a Holden Commodore was spotted doing a burnout in the carpark of a Batemans Bay resort.
About half an hour later, police received further calls from the public about the same vehicle, which was seen doing a large burnout near the intersection of the Old Princes Highway and Orient Street in Batemans Bay.
Police said the second burnout left behind a trail of rubber on the road stretching 80 metres and crossing over double unbroken lines.
Officers from Batemans Bay Highway Patrol Command commenced an investigation and located the reported vehicle at a residence in nearby.
A 28-year-old man was arrested shortly after and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where he was charged with two aggravated burnout offences. His licence was suspended and registration plates seized by police.
He is due to appear in Batemans Bay Local Court on December 10, 2018.
