Uniting Church and St Vincent de Paul will be distributing gifts to more than a hundred local children who otherwise would not receive a Christmas present. We aim for each child to be thrilled on Christmas morning and hope the community will leave more new, unwrapped gifts under the Ray White tree over the next two weeks.

Families from all walks of life can need help to give their children hope at Christmas: single-parent families, families with a disabled member, the old, the young, foster families. Common life events such as unemployment, illness, separating from a partner, or retiring can lead to poverty, particularly for those paying rent.
Many breadwinners in our community have variable incomes from casual work. Sometimes their income just cannot stretch to cover regular outgoings, let alone special treats for Christmas.
Uniting Church and St Vincent de Paul also provide Christmas food hampers for those in need and welcome donations of non-perishable food.
Donations can be left for St Vincent de Paul at the back of the Vinnies shop or send your donation to: Combined Welfare Agencies Christmas Hamper Appeal, PO Box 502, Batemans Bay NSW 2536.
If you need help for Christmas, come to the back of Vinnies shop, Monday-Thursday 9.30–11.30am, or to the Uniting Church near the skate park on Beach Road, Monday and Friday 10am–12 noon.
