Congratulations if you were on Cross Counter last Tuesday. I was a very happy gal! I travelled to Canberra to attend a posh luncheon at The Canberra Yacht Club and was chosen as the Fashion in The Field winner, plus I was lucky enough to win the sweep, so a great day.
Back home in Batemans Bay, the Catalina Club hosted a great day with a luncheon, sweeps and Fashions in the Field, the winner was gorgeous Colleen Green.
Happy belated birthday to my stand in Gossip Gal Jenny Scott last week. You kept that under your hat Jenny!
Coral Lawrence from Surf Beach has just returned from a round-Australia cruise, which took her away from home for about a month. Coral travelled with a friend from Sydney and they had a wonderful time together.
Also happy birthday last Monday to Ammanda Donnelly of Moruya and gorgeous Gina McFarlane, two great gals!
Dianne Webb from Tomakin has also just returned from a wonderful trip away. Dianne flew to Melbourne and had three days exploring the sights there, including a great day trip down the Great Ocean Road. Dianne was then joined by friends from Tasmania, and they all boarded the Golden Princess for a great trip out to the islands. On her return home, Dianne has been joined by her step-daughter and three granddaughters from New Zealand, and they have been having a wow of a time with the visitors and her family from here.
Belated birthday wishes to Jennifer Grinlinton from Long Beach, for her birthday last week. Jen has been very excited about her daughter, Lauren, from Canberra, starring in the recent production of Godspell at the local Queanbeyan Performing Arts Centre. It seems it is a case of like mother, like daughter!
Come and Raindance to support farmers in need on November 23 at the Catalina Club. Australian saxophonist, TV personality and radio presenter Wilbur Wilde will headline this awesome event that raises much-needed funding for drought relief. Despite recent rain, 99 per cent of NSW remains in drought or is drought affected, including Eurobodalla. With a long, hot summer predicted, our farmers need our continued support.
