Mossy Point residents and visitors now have a safer passage to the beach thanks to a partnership between the Broulee Mossy Point Community Association, Eurobodalla Shire Council and the NSW Government.

The council recently completed a 320-metre section of new pathway along Annetts Parade, from Pacific Street to Surfside Avenue.
The pathway link was the result of advocacy from the Broulee Mossy Point Community Association, which also contributed $16,000 toward the project.
Association President Ross Hayward said it came about following a request from a Mossy Point mum with a young family.
“The young mum wanted a pathway because she said it was too dangerous walking along the road pushing a pram,” Mr Hayward said.
“She was driving from Mossy Point to Candlagan Creek to go for a walk.”
Council applied for and received funding under the NSW Government’s Strong Country Communities Fund to complete the footpath in Mossy Point, as well as another pathway link in South Durras.
Infrastructure director Warren Sharpe congratulated the group for its advocacy and financial support.
“Over the years the association has contributed $57,000 to pathway projects in Broulee and Mossy Point, which is a wonderful achievement,” he said.
