Among the wares for sale will be handbags, scarves, cushions, artwork, woodwork and other interesting curios. If shopping is not really your thing you can munch on homemade chocolate and cakes or pick up locally grown vegetables, honey and eggs. The riverfront is really lovely for a picnic and there is a kid's playground as well.

Talking about markets … have you visited the Thursday market in the Community Centre in Batemans Bay? What a surprise!

I visited for the first time a fortnight ago and was very pleasantly surprised, Lots to buy, including fresh produce, jams and pickles, gifts, etc. It's well worth a visit to support the local producers and there is plenty of parking!

Deb Healy who works at St George Bank is on the Gold Coast with her dragon boating team mates who train on the Moruya river. She told me that they have already won a medal!

That gorgeous woman about town Edna Veitch, an icon of Batemans Bay, is 92 this week! I honestly think she doesn't look a day over 50! Wishing a lovely lady a very happy birthday. The Queen will have to start writing out a card, only a few years to go Edna!
