The October meeting of the Eurobodalla Photographic Club featured a competition for members on the topic of ‘decay’. The judge for the night was Ivan Findlay from Narooma who applied his expertise as a judge for over 10 years.

Ivan gave detailed critiques of each of the entries which varied widely in their interpretation of the topic.

Local photographer Merrick Bailey displayed 12 pictures that showed the development of photography. These had been taken over many years with different cameras using slide film, print film and digital.
Merrick’s display included a moving account of his house that was destroyed during Cyclone Tracy.
Rob Geraghty showed four images of polar bears, which he is currently preparing for entry into the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition.
Rob’s images depict the effect that climate change is having on the polar bears’ habitat in the Arctic.
The Eurobodalla Photographic Club meets on the fourth Tuesday of each month (except December) at 7pm at the Tomakin Community Hall.
