The two day carnival is held annually, with participants ages ranging from 16’s to opens.
Unfortunately there was no women’s competition this year, after several teams pulled out.
Organiser Donna Berry said there was an excellent display of skills across the two days.
The event has grown significantly in recent years. In 2014, just five teams competed, compared to this year’s twelve.
The carnival has been an annual event for Moruya basketball for more than 30 years.
Many teams, such as the Bay Breakers, Moruya Swans and Clockwork Orange have consistently featured on the draw in that time.
Lavender was a passionate member of Moruya Basketball Association in the early formation of the club, and his hard work lives on for local players.
