Eurobodalla Shire Council will host the event for Grandparents Day at the Dr Mackay Centre in Moruya, from 10.30am to 2.30pm.
The brunch will include free childminding as well as motivational speakers, relaxation exercises, healthy living and service information and the opportunity to network with other parenting grandparents.
The council’s community development project officer Yvonne Hutcheson said the supportive, relaxing event was designed to help parenting grandparents connect with others.
“We know there are many grandparents out there who didn’t expect to be parents a second time around, but family circumstances have left them to raise their grandchildren,” Ms Hutcheson said.
“It isn’t easy, and we want to support these wonderful carers and let them know they are not alone.”
