Fortunately new Batemans Bay bushwalk leaders Ros Marion and Liz Graham aren’t superstitious as their first walk was on the 13th of the month, taking 13 bushwalkers on a 10-km hike around the Ringlands Track of Wagonga Inlet. It was a scenic event through a forest of amazing spotted gum, grey ironbark and coastal grey box trees with a plentiful understorey of burrawangs.

The inlet section of the walk offered vistas across the water back towards Narooma township as well as views of the many oyster leases and associated buildings.
The rain would not be held back and wet weather gear was donned.
The best was saved till last as walkers wandered through a rainforest with huge birds nest ferns in the treetops, amazing strangler figs and giant stinger trees all keeping the group looking upwards.
Ros and Liz were pleased to find that - at the end of the hike – all 13 bushwalkers were present.
