True to her word, walk leader Betty Richards delivered a tough hike with some long steep hills but, the views from the top were spectacular. The group consensus was that few of them had seen the township from these vantage points which made the slog all the more rewarding.
Betty later confessed to the walkers that she had added 2 kilometres to the hike, to avoid one extremely steep hill climb which she showed the group from the top looking downwards. The hike ended close to the Batemans Bay Cemetery which drew some obvious black humour comments from a group of very tired bushwalkers who later agreed that the workout was definitely worth the effort.
