As part of the Sydney Thunder Regional Tour, The Thunder Bus will visit Batemans Bay Cricket Club. The Thunder Bus is a mobile activation that engages with cricket clubs, schools and community groups.
Sessions run for up to one-hour and participants spend time watching videos from Sydney Thunder players and testing their skills at the inflatable throwing nets.
The Thunder Bus is a regular fixture at Sydney Thunder games and the mobile activation continues to be in high demand across the community.
“The Thunder Bus aims to reach everyone within the Thunder Nation,” said Brad Fendyk, Sydney Thunder Fan Engagement Coordinator.
“Anyone who wants to be a part of the Sydney Thunder experience can be, no matter who they are or where they live.”
The Thunder Bus will be on hand to help promote the start of the Batemans Bay Cricket Season and to launch Cricket’s new look Entry Level Programs.
The 2018/19 season will see the introduction of Woolworths Cricket Blast in the Batemans Bay area.
Capturing the colour and excitement of the Men’s and Women’s Big Bash League, Woolworths Cricket Blast is a fun and fast format for kids of all abilities to learn the skills of cricket and play Australia’s favourite sport.
With two stages – Junior Blaster and Master Blaster, kids learn how to bat, bowl, field and catch like their favourite Big Bash heroes all while making new friends within a social setting.
“It is great to see Batemans Bay Cricket Club supporting and adopting the Woolworths Cricket Blast format. These stages are the first step in the Junior Cricket Pathway and help kids develop the required skills and build confidence in a fun and action-packed way” said Greg Richards-Riches, Cricket NSW Development Manager – South Coast.
