Now, after around 12 months it’s working. How long for? Who knows.
It’s being alleged some of the equipment or hardware being used by Telstra is not up to it, for example, modems and street nodes.
But worse, the NBN mob haven’t got the money to purchase better hardware. So we can expect significant billing increases in the end.

Climate change concerns
The latest International Panel Climate Change (IPCC) report states drastic action is needed to stay within the 1.5C threshold on global warming.
Our governments – federal, state and local – must quickly enact legislation to reduce the heat-trapping emissions behind the problem.
If we delay, very soon we will be unable to avoid climate change calamity.
Food shortages, coastal flooding, mass migrations, ferocious storms, bigger and more intense wildfires, and unbearable heat could make some parts of the world unliveable.
In short, we have up to 12 years to drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions before we ensure the demise of civilisation as we know it.
We are only decades away from reaching the 1.5C threshold, and millions are already feeling the impact of climate change today.
Why do we keep denying the overwhelming evidence? If you went to the doctor and she said 'you have cancer and this is what the tests show and what you need to do,' you wouldn't likely say - I don't believe in the tests so I won't take the treatment. So how is it we deny climate scientists? It doesn't make sense.
In wartime, governments usually have bipartisan support. Action on climate requires the same. We need to unelect climate-denying politicians of all persuasions.

Logging fight continues
The Masked Owl sighting should trigger a suspension of logging so the area can be surveyed for a nest if Forestry Corp are serious about threatened species protection.
Shamefully, it has responded by closing the forest to prevent anyone even being able to look for the nest, thereby making a mockery of its claims to be ecologically responsible in its management of our forests.

Surviving the HSC
Year 12 students are now facing arguably the most challenging time of their lives as they prepare to sit the HSC.
As their final exams draw closer, it becomes increasingly important for their family and friends to be on the lookout for signs that they’re not coping.
On World Mental Health Day, the peak body for parents with children in Catholic schools, the Council of Catholic School Parents (CCSP), urged parents of HSC students to support their child’s mental health needs in the lead up to their final exams.
CCSP Executive Director, Linda McNeil, said that there is a lot of pressure on Year 12 students to do well in their final exams, especially those who are seeking an ATAR, and it’s critical that the students’ support networks do exactly that, support them during this time.
“Parents can sometimes think of the HSC as the be-all and end-all, but we need to keep things in perspective and remember that there are multiple pathways to success," Ms McNeil said.
