Batemans Bay Marine Rescue was called to assist three people on board a tinny on the Clyde River, about 1.5km west of the Bay bridge, just after 9pm on Sunday, October 8.
Marine Rescue Monaro Regional Operations Manager, Glenn Sullivan, said the five-metre boat was experiencing mechanical problems and was towed back to the Hanging Rock base by 11pm.
“We do nighttime training every fortnight at Batemans Bay in preparation for the busy boating season on its way,” Mr Sullivan said.
Boaters are reminded to use their marine radio or phone to call 000 in an emergency.
