Officers from the South Coast Police District are investigating after a car windscreen was allegedly smashed in a Batemans Bay shopping centre carpark at the weekend.

Police said the alleged offender/s smashed the rear windscreen of a blue Nissan sedan at about 2.30pm on Sunday, October 7.
Officers were contacted shortly after and attended the carpark where they spoke to security and several youths in the area. The youths were given police direction to move on.
Police are investigating the incident and urge any witnesses to contact the Batemans Bay station on 4472 0099. Any other victims of the alleged crime are also urged to contact police.
