The visitor list was long – Brisbane, Victoria, Picton, Goulburn and many from Canberra. John Graham, who visited from Victoria, has run all the parkruns in his home state (more than 60) and has started working his way up the NSW coast. He has already completed Merimbula, Bega and Batemans Bay.
Our special congratulations this week go to Robyn Kennedy who completed her 50th parkrun, an amazing achievement. Robyn is also a regular volunteer for parkrun, and is loved by all for her ongoing encouragement of all participants. Robyn and her husband Mike run the Broulee runners every week, and still have the time to be regular members of our parkrun community.
Alec McQueen, Tony Dawe, Kayne Carmichael, Samantha Tibbles and Aiden O’Leary gave impressive performances and produced personal best times this week.
We would love to welcome new runners and walkers each week. We are happy for everyone to pace themselves. We have many families who come along with prams and dogs as well. It is a great meeting place and a chance to blow the cobwebs out with a bit of exercise. Please come along and bring a friend. All ages are very welcome.
Coming up on the Saturday of the long weekend we have a pacer’s run. This allows you to follow someone that will set a steady timed pace for you. More information about the run in the coming weeks.
A massive thankyou to our volunteers this week: Neville Madden, Jill Brown, Tracy Denning, Stephanie Dawe, Mike Kennedy, Rob Ryan, and Tim Cowley.
