Mr Constance said local Crown reserve managers, whether councils or community trusts, do a fantastic job looking after public spaces.
"We are so very fortunate to have those in our community that give their time to ensure our facilities and land are maintained and protected for future years," Mr Constance said.
"Eurobodalla Shire Council will receive $33,000 in this funding round to complete upgrades at Moruya Showground. Local showgrounds are an asset in any community, and following the works that will be undertaken at Moruya, it will be an even greater asset and more user friendly.
"Works include installation of a new sewerage dump point, construction a new livestock loading ramp and completion of an animal wash bay.”
Minister for Lands and Forestry Paul Toole said the Crown Reserves Improvement Fund program was focussed on ensuring communities and visitors could continue to enjoy local land and facilities: "This year we've made a record investment into Crown land with more than $20 million in grants and loans being provided across the state.”
To date, the NSW Government has invested $115 million across seven years into Crown land projects. CRIF supports Crown reserve managers by providing funding for repairs and maintenance projects, pest and weed control, new recreational infrastructure and environmental initiatives.
