SOME time ago Moruya Probus Club received an invitation from the Classic and Vintage Motor Club of Eurobodalla to join one of the car club’s Wednesday morning outings. The Probus Committee on Tuesday decided to make it November 28 when the car club will be heading for Tuross Boat Shed for morning coffee.

At the meeting, held at Moruya Golf Club, Probus committee spoke about the possibility of a visit to Willinga Park, Bawley Point, where tours officer Netta Behringer said big things had been happening with plans that aimed to make the Park the equestrian centre for the Southern Hemisphere.
She surprised committee members by saying the Park already employed about 300 people.
There was some discussion of the next meeting, on September 25, when the annual photographic competition will be judged, the topic being “Buildings of the Eurobodalla”.
Members were reminded of the invitation from Batemans Bay Probus to share facilities at Moruya Racecourse for the Batemans Bay Cup on September 28.
Members decided that 10.30am would be the starting time for the annual barbecue and games day at Moruya Surf Club on October 23.
Moruya Probus meets at Moruya Golf Club at 10am on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
There are many advantages with being a member of Probus. Apart from meeting new friends, and sometimes some old ones, there are opportunities of being involved in outings.

What better way for 41 Tollgates Probians to celebrate a fine spring day than to get together on the river front and enjoy a lunch of fish-and-chippery-made fish and chips plus home-made salads. An estimated 4100 seagulls also joined the party to finish off any loose chips.
