This Sunday the Nelligen RFS are holding their annual "Get Ready Day" on the waterfront at Nelligen.
They'll be handing out kits designed to help you minimise the threat of fire to your property during what is predicted to be a severe bushfire season and also cooking a yummy sausage sizzle.
Also taking place on the same day is the monthly Village Hall Markets where you'll find home-made jams, chocolates and handmade crafts as well as lots of other interesting items for sale.
Entertainment is being provided by a local ukulele band so why not venture out for a sticky beak!
Gorgeous Lynne Cassidy from Coila enjoyed a birthday earlier this week.
I heard a whisper that Kevin brought you breakfast in bed, is that right???
Apparently there is a beautiful new dog house at the Rixon family home?
Or did I get that wrong and it is actually a new tent which was a Father's Day present?
It could come in handy though Zelma!
Bill and Jo Elphick from Long Beach had a lovely day in Ulladulla where Jo took some amazing photos of the local area.
I'm sure she has a winner amongst her flora and fauna photos, they are spectacular and highlight what a wonderful part of Australia we live in.

This is a day to make new friends, share your knowledge or learn a new craft with South Coast Crafts at the Baylink Human Services Community Room, from 10am to 4pm.
At this stage the important information is that there will be a $5 charge to cover morning and afternoon tea. BYO lunch.
The organisers hope to see as many there as possible, so if you have an unfinished “project” in the cupboard (I gave up on a knitting project!), then take it along and get the girls to help you with their enormous source of “craft” wisdom.
Ladies who lunch find new friends!
Stingrays was the venue for ladies to meet new friends and catch up with old ones on Wednesday this week.
This great idea was the brainchild of Dawn Acton – who couldn’t make it – and was so enjoyed by everyone that we plan to do it again so watch this space! (See the Fashionista photo above.)
