Space Flight Trailblazer Visits Bay
The Batemans Bay Soldiers Club is hosting JoAnn Morgan on Wednesday, September 19.
JoAnn Morgan began her space career in 1958 and was the first female engineer at Kennedy Launch Control Center for the Apollo 11 mission and the first human moon landing on 16 July 1969.
Morgan was pictured in U.S. national magazines in the 1960s as the only woman on the Apollo launch team in the Firing Room among hundreds of men. She is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards including two meritorious awards from President Bill Clinton, in 1995 and 1998.
She will be interviewed by Malua Bay author Nikki Cooper.

October 6, 9.30am to 4.30pm. Dress up your dog, cricket, tug-o-war, face painting, auctions, hair colouring and shaving.
The Bay Gives Hay

Bye, bye to Bay Bowlo
A get together to mark the demise of Batemans Bay Bowlo will be hosted by the Old Courthouse Museum on 25th September, 2-4pm.
