Tomakin Twist Tops
On Sunday last there were 24 bowlers on the green, a little light on numbers perhaps because it was Fathers' Day. They didn't have to pay thanks to committee. Terry Montgomerie took over proceedings and welcomed everyone. He made a special mention wishing Milka Starkovski and Jennie Hogan all the best as they contest the Womens' Senior Pairs in Taren Point, Sydney this week. The weekly medal went to Brian Bacon who threw his winning ticket into the bin then had to search through it to find it. Later in the morning he was given the monthly "Wally" award.
Breakfast trays won on 15, Bob Starkovski and 5, Dick Morley. Winners this week won on the Draw card. Tony Dobson and Jeanette Pooley, Peter Crowe and Brian Bacon. Jeanette selected rink 10 to try for Jackpot, winning Skip on this rink Steve Maher cut the cards but came up with 10 of Spades nowhere near the Joker.
Congratulations to Stuart Megee and Nick Tyce who bowled last week in Dubbo, they were down to the last 8 when the match was called off due to the heavy rain. A great effort by two of the nicest young men, you both should be very proud.
