A huge thank you to Manny Gozo Byrne, for driving the long solo journey on Friday to release birds at 8am Saturday morning.
It was a fine day with variable winds: NW at first, but shifting to W SW in their faces on way home. The distances travelled covered 390-450 km to the furthest marker.
Very close results once again, but Muz came in first, taking club averages for the year, Bruce CC King in second. Well done Cup Cake, and Manny Gozo Byrne's third.
Each member nominated two birds out of their team. If they came home in succession they win the "two birder race". Bruce King won that one.
A presentation will be held soon. Breeding season is well under way. The next race season is due to start around the middle of next 2019.
