“I have no idea who Scott Morrison is and I think it’s a bit sad,” she said.
“No other country would not know who their own Prime Minister is but for us, it’s just Parliament, and our politicians are so jumbled up that we don’t even know who’s who these days.
“It’s a bit sad.”
Meanwhile Peter Van, also of Batemans Bay was: “Surprised, but I guess it’s probably the better option of the choices in my opinion.”
“I’m just tired of it – sick and tired of it all,” Mr Van said just minutes after news broke Mr Morrison had deposed Malcolm Turnbull.
He described the state of Australian politics as, “poor” and said: “They need to buckle down and get on with the job.
“They have to stop worrying about their own egos and start looking after the farms; looking after the domestic farms; looking after Australia’s politics.
“It’s in a really bad way and all they’re worried about are their egos and making sure they get paid. They’re a disgrace.”
