The night will be a “fundraiser with a difference”, with funds raised being distributed to a community charity or sporting club of the donor’s choice that is in attendance on the night.
President Alan Russell said more than 100 charities and service organisations had been invited to the event and had the chance to benefit from the unique fundraising opportunity.
Those attending will be able to dance the night away or simply sit back and enjoy some of the best musicians in Australia.

Mr Russell explained how the funds would be distributed.
“We are hoping for a capacity crowd as funds raised from the cabaret will be used by those attending,” Mr Russell said.
“Let’s say we have a capacity crowd of 300 and the net profit for the night is $6000. Say your nominated charity or club has a table of eight attending. Then your charity will receive a cheque for $160 – $6000 divided by 300 multiplied by 8.
“A fabulous way to raise some funds whilst enjoying a wonderful evenings’ entertainment.”
The Duntroon Band is a twenty-piece Glen Miller-style Big Band, which will perform a range of popular, swing, jazz and rock numbers.
The band’s role with the Australian Defence Force is ceremonial in support of Vice-Regal and government agencies, but, off the parade ground, it performs at many community events.
The band’s deployments have included Bougainville, East Timor and the Solomon Islands. International engagements have included representing Australia in France, London and Gallipoli.
Mr Russell promised a fun night for all.
“Those attending the Charity Cabaret will be able to dance the night away or simply sit back and enjoy some of the best music and musicians in Australia,” he said.
