The Koori Boori event was an opportunity for children and mothers to come together and celebrate Aboriginal culture and achievements.
This year’s theme, ‘because of her, we can’, celebrates women’s contribution, and Walbanga elder Muriel Slockee was the guest of honour.
The group, in collaboration with Eurobodalla Shire Council, NSW Health, Katungal, and Mary Mead has planned events for every day of NAIDOC Week 2018, catering for everyone from children to elders.
On Thursday, July 12, a Youth Indigenous Games Day will be held at the Moruya Showground from 10am until 2pm.
Elders will be honoured at a Moruya RSL lunch on Friday, July 13.
