Thursday was a beautiful warm sunny day , followed by two very windy days which kept all bowlers on their toes.
Sunday for the mixed fours was perfect.
At the Presentation on the final day Faye Conner, President of the Tomakin Club Board thanked all participating bowlers for their presence, travelling from Benalla, Traralgon, Moyhu, Victoria and Canberra, as well as local clubs.
It is hoped they will all be able to attend again next year.
A special thank you to Bronwyn from Travel Team Travel Agency and Sandra and Kim from Hip Pocket for their generosity with prizes.

Monday’s clear skies together with a cool breeze had Cobber Peter back organising our bowls (the applause was enough for him to give it another go) for 39 bowlers with the Goose swinging for once again the points system as game decider.
The winners in a near repeat of last week on 21 points in gospeller Bob, Peter the Hat and Fencer Peter from the runners-up on 20 1/2 points in a 2-way countback in Ex. Docker Ian, Par Wain and a fitter Marty.
The Goose scored the only resting toucher but once again the $490 jackpot didn’t go off.
The Goose now had enough money to contribute to the wrong bias sinner’s jar together with Cobber Peter, Steal Coulson, Dipper Ron, Ex.PM Neil (3) and our Macedonian Illya.
The raffle prizes went to the same old faces in Dicko, Granty, Peter the Hat and the Goose.
Thursday had ideal weather for the 30 bowlers (numbers down due to the triples final) organised by Roy Falkiner.
He also stood in to even up the numbers and once again the points system marble came out to decide the winners on 21 points in Cobber Dudley, the Goose and Loquacious Lloyd from the runners-up on 19 points in the Hansen couple Chris and Finn and Garry L-rentacar.
No resting toucher was scored nor was the $375 jackpot collected.
The wrong-bias sinners included Leo Spring, Dipper Ron and Hi-ain’t McGregor, while the raffle prizes were shared among Christine and Lee Lew-ain’t (both 2) sending it round again for Dudley, Clive KV, Scarf-man Jack and Marg Ponder.
In the final of the triples championship Steal Coulson, Cobber Peter and Barry Arminter seemed to have the game well in hand against Wayne Home-100, Par Budin and Buzz Saw leading for most of the game up 8/2 after 4 ends, 15/6 after 10 ends.
That was before Buzz and his boys put things together leading 23/19 at the 21st end and 24/21 at the penultimate end but a totally unexpected 5 on the last end saw Barry & Co take out a very well deserved win.
Congratulations to all who took part particularly Rob, Peter and Barry who hung in there to the end and took out the championship.
Members are reminded of the men’s carnival at the end of next week and that there are still some positions to be filled in the program.
Also that the AGM will be held on Monday, August 20 with all committee positions to be filled.
Nomination forms are up on the noticeboard.
