We welcomed visitor Don Worger from Taree. Don is recovering from a hamstring injury but is still keenly jogging along and enjoying the parkrun camaraderie.
Unfortunately Don forgot to bring his barcode so won’t be getting an official result but he assured us he had a great time.
We were also joined by Marg Artuso on her first outing on the Batemans Bay course. Marg must have been impressed as she promptly added her name to the volunteer board when she finished.
Personal Best times were scarce with the windy conditions, but four runners still managed to
better their previous Batemans Bay course times. Congratulations to Ashleigh and Samantha Grey-Reitz, and to Ryan and Thach Huynh. It’s great to see family members parkrunning and achieving together.
As always, the loudest round of applause is for our wonderful volunteers. Thank you for making parkrun possible Anna Hutchinson, Tim Cowley, Tania Dorney, Bernadine Lambert, Barry King, Mark Moore, Tracy Galvin and Bec Hughes.
All runners and walkers are welcome to join us on the five-kilometre course. We meet every Saturday morning at 7.50am for the 8am race start.
You can register online at www.parkrun.com.au to obtain a barcode which you must bring along with you every week to get a recorded result.
The venue is Rotary Park near the Marina roundabout in Batemans Bay.
