The team included Ian Tompsett, Ryan Hall, Sean Griffin and captain James Dickinson.
Mollymook came second.
The event was run across the Far South Coast teams, including clubs from Moruya, Mollymook, Tura Beach, Tathra, Pambula Merimbula, Bega and of course Batemans Bay.
The event took the form of a round robin on a 9-hole match-play.
The Club Catalina team has been playing together for the past four or five years.
Anthony Hall, father of Ryan Hall, has watched the young players build their skills and bloom as players.
“Over time I have seen the boys go from strength to strength,” Mr Hall said.
James’ mother Margaret Dickinson said there was no other event quite like it for young golfers.
“This first-of-its kind event provided a great opportunity for the boys to connect and bond with other junior golfers across the South Coast District.”
The event was organised and sponsored by the Far South Coast District Golf Association.
Both Mrs Dickinson and Mr Hall agree the event was very well organised and it ran very smoothly.

The Club Catalina team will next join forces with Mollymook to play Illawarra on a date and venue to be announced.
The Club Catalina foursome Juniors will also be participating in the 2018 Clyde Auto Juniors Open event held at Club Catalina on August 5. Entries are still open for both the Juniors Open and Under 24s Classic.
Mrs Dickinson credits the cadet program for Club Catalina’s success.
The program runs weekly on Wednesday and Thursdays with clinics on Fridays.
It is programs such as these which have supported junior players like Zinyo Garcia and Hayley McNeill, who have gone off to achieve a great golfing career in the USA as well as Mitchell Donlan who now runs his own golf clinics for Port Kembla Golf Club.
“The cadet program is an excellent opportunity for local kids to learn the rules of golf as well as the discipline and etiquette of the game,” Mr Hall said.
“Ryan has enjoyed learning the sport and will most likely continue to play golf for the rest of his life.”
The annual Pennant dinner was held recently at Club Catalina. Well done to all the teams involved.
