On Saturday we played a Medley Stableford. A Grade winner with 38 points was Peter Collins with Greg Ganderton on 37c/b coming in second from Brad Corkery. B Grade was taken out by Peter Barnes with a fine 39 points from Col Stage 37 from visitor Greg Wells coming in third with 36 points. In C Grade our winner was Bunja Smith with 35 from Morry Spriggens 34 c/b from Warren Dimoff. The Golden shot was won by Steve Bricknell with a fine shot to just 95 cm.

Moruya Ladies
Moruya Lady Golfers played the first round of their Foursomes Championships on Wednesday, June 13.
Two players having alternate hits makes up the foursomes competition.
Daily prizes are awarded for best Nett scores, whereas the Gross scores will decide the Championship winners for 2018.
In Division 1, Dee Meek and Sharon Knight’s combination won the first of two rounds with 75 Nett from a handicap of 9.
Marie Muriwai and Leonie Doolan came a close second with 77 Nett on a countback from a handicap of 20.
In Division 2, Judith Love and Jan Woolley were successful with 75.5 from a handicap of 41.5. Lyn Gibbs and Edith Jones came second with 80 Nett from a handicap of 29.
Nearest the Pins were unclaimed by both divisions. Only the Longest Drive prize was claimed, to Jan Lumsden and Barbara Kennedy for Division 1; but it will be up to Division 2 in the second round.

Age shall not weary them and that was certainly the case on Thursday, June 7 when the normal nine hole Stableford event also incorporated the annual Super Vets Tournament with the following results.
Super Vets 75-79 category: winner Ron Carney; runner-up Les Miller. Super Vets 80+ category: winner Allen Sterling: runner-up Rod Baz
9 Hole Individual Stableford played on the Blue Course
A Grade Winners: 1st Toby Hennessy (handicap 17) 24 Stableford points, 2nd Michael Gray (17) 22 points, 3rd Mick Maluta (19) 21 points. B Grade Winners: 1st Geoff Thornthwaite (handicap 22) 20 Stableford points, 2nd Les Miller (24) 19 points (ocb), 3rd Alan Dean (22) 19 points. C Grade Winners: 1st Robert Splithof (handicap 27) 22 Stableford points (ocb), 2nd Ron Carney (31) 21 points, 3rd Helmut Delrieux (29) 19 points. The distribution of balls went to 16 points. Nearest the East Coast Carts pin on the 25th was Ron Speet (A Grade), Jim Chaffey (B Grade) and Kim Clifton (C Grade).

This week the ladies played a monthly medal round.
The A Grade Nett winner was Portia Dunn [21] 73 with runner Up Kathy Roe [19] 75.
A Grade gross winner was Margaret Dickinson [4] 80.
The B Grade winner was Helen Wise [27] 74 with runner up Dawn Smith [26] 77.
B Grade gross winner was Helen Hannah [24] 98.
The C Grade Nett winner was Jill Williams [33] 69 with runner up Julie Gercken [38] 74.
C Grade gross winner was Margaret Maxwell [31] 107.
Best Nett Beach Comber award was won by Jill Williams with 69 nett.
Nearest The Pin hole 7 Div was Helen Hannah, hole 11 Div 3 was Lynne Gadsby, hole 14 Div 1 was Marilyn Wynn.
Putting Div 1 was Helen Martin 26 putts. Div2 was Sandra Keon 27 putts, Div 3 was Helen Bunsell 30 putts.
Tuross Head Country Club
Tuross Head Country Club Saturday stableford event resulted in a win for low handicap golfer Jayden Monopoli with a relatively high score of 39 stableford points.Jayden was followed by Peter Garn with 38 points. Brenden Taylor not only handed in a card of 36 points but also had the satisfaction of scoring a hole in one on the 4th hole. Derek Hoare and Martin Booth filled the remaining rostrum positions with each also scoring 36 points. Thursday's medley stableford event was won by Ian Miller with 36 points ahead of Colin Houghton and Adam Wilson, both on 35 points, followed by Steve Johnston who finished with 34. Nearest the pins were won by Steve Swanbury on the 4th, Ian McManus won the 6th and Bruce Lidbury the 7th.
A very productive working bee was held during the week when more than 20 volunteers laid a concrete pathway down the 2nd tee. This follows previous pathways that have been completed on the 5th and 9th fairways.
Tuross Head Ladies
On Tuesday a group of 17 ladies braved the very cold and drizzly morning to play in a single stableford event. Division one winner was Gayle MacAlpine with 28 points, followed by Marie Muriwai with 27 points. Division two winner was Annette Manton with 29 points, followed by Chris Wratten with 28 points. In division three it was Elsa Shearer with 31 points, followed by Lyn Benger with 27 points. Nearest the pin on the 6th was Jeanette Miller. The golden hole in division one went to Pauline Nash and in division two it was Lyn Benger.
Tuross Head Veterans
Another chilly morning on Wednesday, but it didn't bother the 56 Vets who set out to play in a two person stableford multiplier event. The winning team – Greg Smith and Neil Watson – came in with a fantastic score of 51 points, followed by Paul Pereira and Frank Pomfret with 45 points.
In third place it was husband and wife team Sandra and Ron Hanlon with 42 points. The Bradmans was awarded to Rene Robertson and Paul Green and the Accuracy drive went to Paul Green. Nearest the pins: 4th David Williams, 6th Ken Brown, 7th Ann Ware and Richard Kelly. Ball or chocolate went to Gail and Len Rogers on 37 points, Henry Anderson and Errol Soden on 36 points, Kath and Steve Crossling on 34 points, Lyn Benger and Ann Ware, David Williams and Allen Lee on 33 points.
