A Mogo drink driver has been sentenced after recording a blood alcohol reading almost four times the legal limit.

Michael Gardner, 39, appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, May 7, charged with high-range drink driving.
Police said Gardner was driving in the Batemans Bay CBD just before 10pm on March 8, 2018 when officers pulled him over and gave him a roadside breath test.
Police said Gardner returned a positive reading and was arrested and taken to Batemans Bay Police Station, where secondary testing revealed a reading of 0.194, almost four times the legal blood alcohol limit.
Gardner told officers he had consumed six cans of beer that day.
Gardner was ordered to perform 200 hours of community service and was disqualified from driving for six months.
An interlock device will be fitted to his vehicle for two years.
Meanwhile, in an unrelated matter, a Currowan man has been convicted after pleading guilty to high-range drink driving in Batemans Bay.
Francis Anthony Simonetti, 37, appeared in Batemans Bay Local Court on May 7, after he returned a high-range reading at a roadside breath test on the Princes Highway on April 1, 2018.
Police said Simonetti told officers he had consumed 10 stubbies and one spirit at a friend’s house the previous evening.
He returned a reading of 0.151, more than three times the legal limit.
Simonetti was given 100 hours of community service and disqualified from driving for six months.
An interlock device will be fitted to his vehicle for two years.
