A small and enthusiastic group of athletics parents, teachers, athletes and coaches plan to start an athletics club on the Far South Coast for juniors and adults.
A meeting will be held at Tomakin Sports & Social Club on Thursday, May 17 from 7pm.
“Anyone interested in seeing the club operating is strongly encouraged to attend,” spokeswoman Suzy Gilligan said.
“We have been in contact with Athletics NSW and Little Athletics NSW over the past few weeks.
“They have been very supportive and are keen to see a club up and running on the Far South Coast.
“Please come along and be part of a group to make some decisions, such as the name of the new club, uniform, location of the club, time/day to run little athletics etc etc.
“Once those things are in order, NSW athletics will assist us in setting up of the club.
“Please share this information with your friends, other sporting groups, schools or anywhere you think should know.
“We hope to see as many people on Thursday night as possible.”
