Rosedale’s Helen Okey is just one of the shire’s artists who will unlatch their doors and welcome visitors to watch them work as a part of the River of Art’s Open Studio program.

The professional photographer has a background in fashion and is passionate about producing beautiful images.

Festival chair Robin Scott-Charlton said the open studio were an opportunity for the public to watch the creative process first hand and should not be missed. 

“Meeting artists in their studios offers arts lovers an intimate experience,” she said.

“You can discover what inspires them and see how they bring our local landscape to life in paint, fabric, sculpture, found objects and ceramics. Why not make a day of it and map your own treasure hunt.”
