The aspiring performers were treated to training sessions with performers from Webers circus, which is in town for March.
Teacher Sharon McCutcheon said the program was a fantastic opportunity.
“Natalie and Rudi (owners of the circus) always welcome our kids to train with them, because the circus community in Australia has a family ethos,” Mrs McCutcheon said.
“They are very supportive of young people who want to keep the ancient art form alive.
“Especially in this day and age when kids spend many hours in front of screens and live entertainment is becoming a thing of the past; the circus is an authentic live theatre performance which the whole family can enjoy.
“Our kids had a ball at the workshop and enjoyed learning from professional circus performers under the big top.”
