The Year 12 student at Carroll College, Broulee blitzed her competition at district level last week, defeating contestants from Wollongong, Cooma, Goulburn, and Campbelltown.
She will compete for the NSW title on April 14 in Bankstown.
Moruya Lions Club’s Des Rose said Elodie’s hometown was backing her all the way to the top.
“We wish her all the best in her endeavors,” Mr Rose said.
Elodie’s recent win at the district final in Leumeah comes after her win at regional level in Bomaderry.
That contest saw her take out the public speaking competition and be declared the overall winner.
The Youth of the Year contest is now in its 50th year and is open to young people aged 15-19 years across Australia. Notable past winners include Kevin Rudd, Peter Beattie, Sabra Lane and Simon Birmingham.
