Eurobodalla Shire Council is undertaking clearing and road safety works on Araluen Road after a recent rock slip.
The slip occurred on Tuesday, November 28, after heavy rainfall throughout the shire.
The council cleared the rock from the roadway on the night of the fall to keep the road open and ensured residents retained access.
The remedial works are planned to mitigate the risks of rock falls and will include putting up warning signs.
Work was due to begin on Wednesday and continue until Friday, December 22.
Motorists on Araluen Road can expect delays during the works.
Emergency message boards will be erected on Araluen Road to alert the community about expected delays as work progresses.
Nearby residents have been notified by direct mail.
The council asks motorists to take care in the slip-prone area while the works are underway.
