At the official opening of the refurbished Rally shed on Saturday, December 9, Mr Sloane said the group was excited about the upgrade. “We’re running it more like a business now,” he said.
“To do better, you have to present better and market better. The renovations have made us more user friendly.”
Mr Sloane said the group did not intend to rest on its laurels.
“The next project is to get a new truck for pick up and deliveries,” he said.
“The truck we have at the moment costs an arm and a leg for the repairs it needs to keep going. It’s over 20 years old. Ideally we’re after a pantec truck with a back lifter, suitable for a normal licence, in good condition.”
