We know Christmas is coming when we see Bells carnival arrive at Corrigans Beach. I look at the space from the middle of December watching for the rides to appear as I know a lot of other locals do. They are here, yippee, so start saving for a great night out at the “carny”!
Wow! What a great night this week at Mogo Zoo, when members of “Women in Business” held their annual Christmas dinner. It was well attended with delicious food served by a Chris O’Dowd lookalike, plus others who did a great job. The guests went for a walk at dusk through the zoo before dinner commenced. It was a great night and a fabulous venue.

Happy birthday this week to gorgeous Diane Smith from the Bay! Looking good Di!
Another great day was held at Rally For Recovery at Tomakin and with the opening of a new “shed”. Nicola Stokes CEO of Sydney Children’s Hospital foundation, received a cheque for $30,000 from president Ken Sloan, and Member for Bega, Andrew Constance. John Ward’s widow, Truda Ward, was asked to cut the ribbon on the new shed. The charity was the original dream of John Ward who passed away after a long battle with cancer himself.
‘I love advent calendars but their days are numbered!’

Hey, how about some Christmas carols in the Village Centre? I was very surprised to find silence whilst shopping there last week. Come on, Christmas carols add such a great ambience to shopping and put us in the mood!
