There may have been a few red faces, but Transport NSW will go full steam ahead with the name Ferry McFerryface for one of its new Sydney vessels.

The winning title was announced on Monday, after naming rights were opened to the public through the Name Your Ferry website with the #yourferry hashtag.
The unique name will be given to the final ferry in Transport NSW’s new fleet and join the recently-named Victor Chang, Fred Hollows and Catherine Hamlin vessels.
Bega MP and Transport Minister, Andrew Constance, has seen the funny side.
“It’s not everyone’s cup of tea, but the people voted for it, so we listened,” Mr Constance wrote on Twitter on Tuesday.
Speaking to Channel Seven’s Sunrise, Mr Constance said the vessel would become a tourist icon and had already attracted international attention.
“We’re joining the Swedes with Trainy McTrainface, we’re joining the Poms with Boaty McBoatface,” Mr Constance said.
“Ferry McFerryFace its going to be great for kids, great for grandparents to go down there and get selfies with their littlies.
“I’ve put it out to the community. The community had a say. Who am I to just kill it?”
“If you want stiff, robotic politicians say ‘Let’s kill this dead’, I’m not going to do it.”
Ferry McFerryFace was the second most-popular choice, with the most votes going to Boaty McBoatFace, the name of a British research vessel.
The vessel is the latest part of a viral internet joke, joining Trainy McTrainface, a Swedish express train, and Boaty McBoatface, which started the trend and made the name an internet sensation.
