Rural Fire Service and Fire and Rescue crews are attending a fire at the Surf Beach tip.
A spokesperson for the RFS said the blaze was called in at 3.23pm.
The spokesperson said seven RFS appliances and 18 firefighters were attending, in addition to Fire and Rescue crews and a bulldozer.
“There is no threat to property, but people can expect to see smoke and acitivity for a while,” the spokesperson said.
It is the third fire at the Surf Beach tip since early August.
It is not yet understood what ignited the blaze.
