SES wooden dream of taking long weekend off

The tree was secured by 9.45am with the help of Council workers, and hasn’t stopped locals and visitors enjoying the popular Saturday market.

An SES spokesperson said the wind contributed to the split, and the tree may need to be removed by Council, because the remaining trunk is compromised. 

Here’s hoping for a peaceful long weekend, and some much-deserved rest for our hard-working volunteers.

The weather forecast for the Eurobodalla over the long weekend is mostly sunny, with light winds. 

There is a current strong wind warning in place for the Batemans coast, and a gale warning for the Eden coast. Boaters are urged to exercise caution.
