The Broulee Stingrays celebrated their second-straight premiership at their presentation night on Saturday, September 16. The Stingrays used a second half burst to defeat the Bodalla Bulls 4-1 in the grand final.
The event celebrated the standout individual performances from the side. Will Davis was named player of the year, but unfortunately was unable to attend the night. His award was accepted by his father-in-law Gus Lopez.
Dane Skou capped off a fantastic season with an award, as he was named the coaches’ player of the year, while Josh Baldry was named Most Improved Player.
Cerys Hawkins had the best night individually, as he took home both the Golden Boot and the Ronnie Hyde Memorial Cup. Hawkins was also a co-coach of the side, teaming up with Roy Booker and Justin Di-Filippo to lead the Stingrays to the title.
The awards night capped off a fantastic season for the Stingrays, who will be looking for a three-peat next season.
