A creative outlet for Moruya Public School students has grown into a full-scale exhibition – and you can catch it this Friday.
In the “Art in the Making” program, Far South Coast artists have taught students to paint, sculpt and tie dye. The students have also built garden chairs from recycled materials. Jess Dwyer said the best part of the program was the exhibition and auction.
“On Friday, after we’ve set up for the exhibition, the children will walk through it and see all their art on display. It will be really exciting to see their faces. They’re so proud of their work” she said.
The opening and auction will be held at the mechanics institute on Friday the 15th from 6pm. Canapes will be provided direct from the school’s kitchen garden. All proceeds from the evening go back into the Art in the Making program.
